Dear writers,
The weather’s been hot here in London! I shared in my last letter that I’ve been enjoying showing up in new places. I’ve been commuting in and working from a community space in London 2-3 days a week.
I’ve enjoyed mixing things up and being back in the city; it was interesting strolling through the financial district this week, where I worked previously, dressed down. Sometimes it feels like I’ve lived several lives.
I had the opportunity to attend the Community-led World Summit (thanks to Rosie), and met others from around the world who are community-builders of different kinds.
I also received the cover for my upcoming book from my cover designer (Jasmine, also an author), a beautiful foreword by Lauren, and some thoughtful words and encouragement from friends Jamie, Shelly and Amanda — all authors themselves. I’m grateful for the people I have in my corner.
By the way, you can now sign up to be an early reader HERE.

I also attended my first Kirtan meditation with my mum and auntie, which struck a chord with me given my cultural roots. I’d never experienced Sikhi in a meditation centre before, and it was quite an experience.
I was invited to attend my first Pride event from my long-time IRL friend Rima, followed by snacks, good conversation and games at a little house-party afterwards.
We had a lovely stroll in her neck of the woods, which not only led to that Pride invitation, but another to Edinburgh for the Fringe Festival, and the inspiration for a new chapter in The INFP Writer titled “Kindred Spirits”. (Yup, I’m still making additions even now)
And last weekend I went to an immersive David Hockney exhibition, a late Mother’s Day celebration with my parents, followed by Mexican food.

I’m continuing to re-emerge online, too.
I’ve loved, loved my conversations with my dear readers of this letter, some of whom I’ve been digitally connected with over the years, forging connections both new and dormant.
My exploring the next phase for Indie Writer Press has led me to all manner of conversations, from folks with 50 email subscribers through to folks with 20,000 — across 4 continents. (US to Europe to Africa to Oceania… you know who you are 💛).
If you don’t know already, I’m hoping to build a different kind of publishing imprint, one that helps introvert creators write an amazing book that moves you towards your 1,000 true fans.
If you’re a blogger or author who yearns to show up in the world and help others in some way, I’d love to hear from you.
And if you have an email list, or have otherwise found yourself lost in a sea of content creation, social media, overwhelm, self-doubt, push-back from loved ones… I want to hear from you about your struggles, questions, thoughts, etc.
Indie Writer Press is taking shape, and I really want to build it with you.
Together, we’re more.
from,
Jasraj x
