How I spend my time on weekdays and weekends
Each and every day is precious… whether it’s a Monday, a Thursday, or a Saturday.
I am continuing to realise just how precious a commodity time is.
For many years of my life, there was a marked distinction between weekdays and weekends.
Weekdays were for education, or work, and weekends were for time off. Mondays to Fridays would be spent being productive, with Saturdays and Sundays being spent relaxing or recharging. Weekdays would mean rising earlier, with weekends rising later.
Whilst ‘Monday-to-Friday’ and ‘Saturday-to-Sunday’ are, by and large, grouped into two categories by society, my week is a little more fluid.
Where possible, I make time to be productive and to rest every day of the week. I’ll generally rise at a similar time every day of the week, exercising shortly after waking, before getting my head down for some productivity activity. The difference is that, on weekends, I tend to go a little lighter on the productivity front, especially on Sundays when I consciously make space for rest and re-charge.
Each and every day is precious, and it is important to spend time both being productive and being restful — whether it’s a Monday, a Thursday, or a Saturday.
